🔩 Duct Friction Loss Calculator

Calculate the pressure drop (friction loss) over a given length of duct.

1. System and Dimensions Input

2. Air Density and Output Unit

Note on Calculation: This tool uses the Darcy-Weisbach equation for circular ducts (Pressure Loss / Length = f × ρ × Velocity2 / (2 × Diameter)) with empirical friction factors (f) based on common duct materials. For rectangular ducts, use the Hydraulic Equivalent Diameter as the input.

Formula Detail: ΔP = f × (L / D) × (ρV2 / 2)
